The eXceL Concept for the Dyeing of Cellulose Fibres with Procion H-EXL Dyes

The development of the Procion H-EXL range of reactive dyes for exhaust dyeing of cellulose is reviewed. The migration properties of reactive dyes, as individual products and in admixture, on unmercerised cotton is quantified under different conditions. A factor indicating the potential for level dyeing has been devised from the results of this study. Based on this data, application techniques have been developed for Procion H-EXL dyes that offer simplicity, excellent reproducibility and high productivity
