Misc photo seeking info on who, when & where?

Text on the image says;

Dr M B Capponi. Born in Berne, Switzerland in 1924.

Graduated from the Technical College in Burgdorf; after studying Chemistry at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of the University of Fribourg, he produced his doctoral thesis on indigo derivatives.

In 1950 he joined Sandoz Ltd, Basle. After working at affiliated companies abroad, he was given charge of the Basle application research laboratory for cotton dyeing, continuous dyeing as well as the printing laboratory. He has published a number of papers, and in particular on the application of reactive and disperse dyes, and has been co-author of papers dealing with solvent dyeing and the economics of dyeing.

Presently he is a member of the Product Management and Technical Application of the Dyes Division Sandoz Ltd, in charge of international relationships. He is also a member of the Swiss Society of Chemists and Colorists and of the Swiss Association of Dyers.
