Gold Medal awarded 2009 to Dr John Easton

For outstanding service to colour education and the SDC. John originally ICI and eventually due to merges, sales of one company to another etc he now works for DyStar. He has commented that he did the same job for four different companies without having to go for an interview. John was for a long time Chair of RPC taking over the Chair of Journals Committee When it merged with the Journal Committee . The committee is now called Publications Committee. Let no-one say that the SDC is afraid of change! John is now on the Board of Trustees with special responsibility for publications.
