Effect of Pigment Particle Size on Application Properties

Review article discussing the effect of pigment particle size on application properties. The main part of the article is concerned with organic and inorganic, chromatic pigments with particle sizes between 0.01 and 1 micrometer. Shorter sections deal separately with the effect of particle size on the application properties of effect pigments (aluminium flakes and nacreous pigments) and anticorrosion pigments, e.g. micaceous iron oxide, because their absolute particle size, i.e. as much as 100 micrometer, differs from that of the chromatic pigments
